Typing Apps from Google

The Chrome Store in Google has some great apps for typing. It's a great way for students to practice their keyboarding skills.  Just go to the Chrome Store and search "Typing".  "Typing Tutor" and "Typing Lessons" are both good apps.  There are some typing games available as well.  If you search "Typing Games",the second game in the list is a good game where you can choose different skill levels. Have fun!

Welcome to a new year!

Winter has certainly arrived as well!  In January we will be launching a new program at St. Augustine's.  It is called PALS (Playground Activity Leaders in Schools.  The program encourages children to participate in organized playground activities lead by junior students in the school.  The objective is to increase cooperative play skills and physical activity and to provide leadership opportunities for junior students to develop communication, problem solving and organizational skills.  Interested students will apply for a leadership position and will be provided training.  Your son or daughter may be bringing home the application.  Please review it with them and encourage them to participate!  Let's Play!
